There are encounters we can feel, even when we cannot explain them. This medal brings together Our Lady of the Rays and a hummingbird, a small symbol that, in many cultures, is associated with the presence and memory of those we love who are no longer physically with us.
I wanted this to be a large 5.5 cm medal, with a strong presence and the appearance of an antique devotional piece that so deeply inspires Milagritos de María. Its organic shapes, relief details, and subtle irregularities preserve the marks of artisan craftsmanship, making each piece unique.
Crafted in golden bronze, this medal brings together two forms of love: Mary’s protection and the bond that remains even when someone we love is no longer here.
